Police say they arrested two young men early this morning in Chatham when they caught the pair walking along Kiel Drive carrying several expensive electronic items.
A Chatham-Kent police officer on general patrol spoke to the two at about 1 a.m. and realized they had just broken into a residence a short distance away. As the officer investigated, it was discovered that one male had provided a false name and that both suspects are on probation, with one of the conditions that they were not to be associating with each other.
Both men face break and enter, theft, possession of stolen property, obstruction of police and breach of probation charges. The were held in custody for a bail hearing.
