A 32-year-old Ridgetown man was arrested last night for impaired driving. Chatham-Kent police said this morning that he was three times over the legal limit.
Shortly after 8 p.m. police received information of an erratic driver in the area of Goodal Drive. Police found the man, who struck a street sign and then got his Ford Ranger pick-up truck stuck in a field. While investigating the man, police concluded he was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters for further breath tests where he registered over three times the legal limit.
The 32-year-old Ridgetown man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. When sober, he will be released pending a future court date.
