Mother’s Day Tea Party tommorow supports Emma Jackson

By Greg Holden

Tomorrow there is a Mother’s Day Tea Party taking place at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham.

This ad says 11 a.m., but the start time was changed to 10 a.m. after the ad was produced.

It is the third and largest event held by Shop Local organizer Nancy Nurse. “It’s a family event with children’s crafts, face painting and activities for everyone. It is a good way to get your Mother’s Day shopping done ahead of time”, said Nurse.

The entrance fee is $5, with $2 from every ticket going to the Trust Fund for Emma Jackson, a 1 1/2-year-old Chatham girl who tragically lost her mother last week.

There will be a giveaway at 10 a.m. of 50 swag bags that are loaded with goodies like coupons, samples, catalogues and treats. Another giveaway will happen at 1 p.m. of another 50 swag bags.

Here is your chance to get out, have fun with the family, support local vendors while shopping for Mother’s Day and support a good cause.
