The Chatham-Kent police have charged a woman with driving without insurance.
Yesterday morning around 10:50 a.m. an officer on general patrol observed a black vehicle travelling northbound on Taylor Avenue in Chatham. The officer queried the licence plates and learned that the insurance status was unconfirmed. The officer initiated a traffic stop to further investigate. The female driver produced an insurance card that appeared valid however through investigation the officer learned that the woman’s insurance had been cancelled in February 2014 for non-payment.
A 48-year-old London woman was charged with driving a motor vehicle with no insurance.
