Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a double fatal collision that took place early this morning. At 6:22 a.m. Huron County OPP along with assistance from Grand Bend Fire Department and Huron County EMS responded to a two vehicle collision on Bluewater Veteran’s Highway at Schadeview Road.

Both drivers, which were the lone occupants were pronounced deceased on scene.

Members from the OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team (TTCI) are currently on scene investigating.

Please note:  Bluewater Veteran’s Highway remains closed between Zurich-Hensall Road and Dashwood Road.

Motorists are required to take alternate routes to avoid delays.

Identities of the deceased will be released pending notification of next of kin.
