A Chatham man reported on social media about a theft from his boat that took place this morning, just before 5 a.m.

Adam Vandeweghe provided a video on Chatham Swappers Rant and Rave !! of the crime itself. Within an hour, a user of the group, Jessica Thibeault, drew a link to a man who has had earlier charges laid on him by CKPS. Soon enough a torrent of confirmations of the man’s name appeared in the group. Thibeault said, “I just went off of some leads and checked some profiles.” Thibeault is on her way to being a private investigator and is only one exam away from getting her licence. Photographs of the man strike a strong resemblance to the man in the video.

No-one has been charged in the crime, the incident was reported to police at 6:30 p.m. It took about an hour for the crime to, perhaps, be solved in social media. The CKReview will not name the suspect, but will follow-up this story
