One Chatham-Kent police officer suffered minor injuries to his arms and legs this evening just before 5:30 at Wellington Street West and Prince Street South when a Pontiac Grand Prix slammed into a CKPS cruiser.

A witness described the scene, saying the Grand Prix was heading northbound on Prince Street and did not stop for a stop sign. The police car was going west on Wellington Street and did not have a stop sign.

Damage to the police car was extensive. No other injuries were reported.
