A Chatham woman lost a tooth last night after her common-law husband punched her in the mouth.
Shortly after 7 p.m. police responded after an assault complaint. A woman reported that she had been punched by her common-law husband, causing her to lose a tooth.
The Chatham-Kent police arrested a 56-year-old Chatham man, who has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
