Single vehicle accident on hwy 40 results in impaired charge for Chatham man

OPP 3On April 6, at 3:30 a.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a collision involving a GMC SUV on highway 40 at Cedar Hedge Line.

While officers were speaking with the driver of the SUV, 28-year-old Thomas Pryor, from Chatham, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages.

Tests indicated that he was over the legal limit and he will appear in a Chatham court on April 29, charged with impaired driving, driving over .8 and driving without insurance.

No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
