For the month of April, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service, Chatham-Kent Fire Department and Medavie EMS will be wearing green ribbons on their uniforms in an effort to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation. In addition to wearing the pins, green ribbon magnets will be visible on marked emergency vehicles, large green ribbons have been affixed to all three emergency services headquarters and three organ donor flags are flying throughout our community.
To kick off the campaign, emergency personnel along with the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance joined forces to create a video titled ‘Answer the Call – Be an Organ Donor’
