Chatham-Kent police were kept busy with three domestic assaults last night.

Their first call was in Wallaceburg, where at 5:20 p.m. police had a report of a disturbance on Albert Street. A 28-year-old man is accused of assault, uttering threats and mischief. Police say he assaulted his girlfriend, threatened to harm her and destroyed a phone.

The second incident was also in Wallaceburg. Police went to a domestic incident on Reume Avenue where another 28-year-old man was arrested. This time the charges were assault and breach of probation. His probation included a condition to not associate with the woman he is accused of assaulting.

Then at 11:45 p.m. a third domestic assault was reported in Erieau. A 22-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested for assault and mischief. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and doing damage to a door on Mariners Road.

All three men are in police custody for bail hearings. There were no serious injuries in any of the assaults.
