A 20-year-old Chatham man is in police custody following a stabbing on Harvey Street early this morning.

The victim is in the hospital recovering from a wound to his abdomen, with a non-life threatening injury.

The accused has been charged with attempted murder and assault.

Police offered no other details and said the investigation continues.
