A 33-year-old woman was arrested last night for shoplifting deli meat from No Frills in Wallaceburg.
The woman was in No Frills at about 4:45 p.m. with a man, when the woman was spotted hiding the meat in her purse. Just after 5 p.m. the two left the store without buying anything.
The investigating officer reviewed store video and recognized the man and woman. Around 11:40 p.m. last night, she was located and arrested. Teri-Lynn Scholte, 33 years, of Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released with conditions and a court date. Police are continuing their efforts to find the man in this incident.
The value of the meat was about $12.
