One dead in Longwoods Road accident

One woman has died and a man was rushed to hospital via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries, after a truck collided with a car on Longwoods Road this afternoon.

The tragic accident happened at about 2:30 p.m. at Cashmere Road and Longwoods Road. Longwoods Road is closed between Sassafras Road and Clachan Road until about 9 p.m. according to Middlesex OPP constable Kevin Howe.

Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) team have been requested to help in the investigation. Police are asking for the public’s assistance and requesting that motorists take an alternate route in the area to ensure the safety of emergency personal.
