A 38-year-old Chatham woman is in police custody this morning after a domestic incident yesterday.
Chatham-Kent police say a dispute began around 2 p.m. when the couple argued. The man left their residence on foot and the woman chased after him in her vehicle. She caught up to him and allegedly left her vehicle and hit him in the head with a baseball bat. She then threw the bat at him and drove off. The 30-year-old Chatham man was uninjured.
The woman was found by police and arrested.
While being placed under arrest the woman was searched and found to have cocaine and marijuana. She has been charged with assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous and two counts of drug possession. Her bail hearing is today.
