Two accidents with similar circumstances yesterday morning

Yesterday morning, around 8:50 a.m. police responded to a two-vehicle collision in Tilbury.

A 67-year-old Merlin man was travelling northbound on Tilbury Street when he made a left hand turn to go westbound on Mill Street. Upon doing so, the man struck a 42-year-old Kingsville man driving a truck southbound through the intersection.

Neither driver was injured. Total damage was estimated at $2000.

The Merlin man was charged with making an unsafe turn.

Then around 9:15 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to another two-vehicle collision, this time in Blenheim.

A 39-year-old Blenheim woman was travelling eastbound on Snow Avenue when she turned left onto Little Street striking a 54-year-old Blenheim woman’s SUV.

Neither driver was injured. Total damage was estimated at $10,000.

The 39-year-old Blenheim woman was also charged with making an unsafe turn.
