Sound of smashing window alerts home owner to robbery

A home owner on Cross Street had a rude awakening this morning. At around 5:30 a.m. a man smashed a window to the home, reached in and stole a purse.

The sound of glass breaking arose the home owner. Police did not give a description of the suspect but did say the suspect was observed on the porch and a chase ensued with the suspect getting away.
