A man involved in a financial dispute threatened to burn down another man’s house, as well as the victim’s parent’s house, on at least two occasions.
The two men know each other and have had an ongoing dispute for a few months. Between November 2013 and February 2014, the man repeatedly went to the victim’s house in Wallaceburg in trying to intimidate him. The man is accused of threatening the victim three times and police say on two occasion he left his vehicle to say he would burn down the houses. He also made verbal threats.
Around 1 a.m. this morning, police located the man and he was arrested. The 44-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with criminal harassment and three counts of uttering threats. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
