Quit smoking workshops from the public health unit

quit smokingQuitting smoking can be a difficult and trying task. Let the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit help.

In collaboration with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit are offering workshops as part of the STOP (Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients) Study. Workshops will run throughout February and may only be attended by registered participants.

As part of the study, you will be required to answer screening questions to determine if you qualify, then sit in on a workshop ran by a professionally trained smoking cessation practitioner. Finally, they will review your forms and give you five weeks of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (patches) to take home for free.

Call them at 519-352-7270 ext: 2415 to learn more and see if you qualify.

Workshops will be held on:

January 22, 2021 in Wallaceburg

January 23, 2021 in Ridgetown

January 29, 2021 in Chatham
