OPP issue two three-day suspensions

In the early morning hours of January 19, Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers issued two three-day suspensions on two separate traffic stops.

Just after 2 a.m., Chatham-Kent OPP officers stopped a Dodge pickup on the 401 westbound near Queens Line. While police were speaking with the driver, a 40-year-old man from Munsee-Delaware First Nations, it was determined that he had been drinking alcohol.

In a second incident just after 3 a.m., Chatham-Kent OPP stopped a Oldsmobile vehicle on Richmond Street in Chatham, after observing the vehicle driving erratically. While officers were speaking with the 28-year-old man from Chatham, it was determined that he had also been drinking alcohol.

Both drivers were provided a roadside test with results in the warn range, they were both served with a three-day driver’s licence suspension.
