Ex-boyfriend accused of choking Chatham woman

Police say a 24-year-old Chatham woman reported two incidents of domestic violence to them on Saturday, where in one instance she had been choked by her ex-boyfriend.

She did not seek medical attention for the assault. She also described an assault from the same man last year to police.

Yesterday morning police found the man and he was arrested. The man, also 24, has been charged with two counts of assault and overcoming resistance to commit an indictable offence. He was released with conditions pending a court date.
