Chatham-Kent workforce planning board teaching people how to get employed

CKWFPB logoThe Chatham-Kent Workforce Planning Board, in partnership with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, presents an informative and exciting workshop to the citizens of Chatham-Kent, completely free of charge.

More and more often, employers are requesting that job seekers submit electronic versions of their resumes, either through a company website or to a human resources e-mail address.

In today’s competitive job market, job seekers need to know the top strategies when applying for jobs online. Pamela Paterson, author of Get the Job: Optimize Your Resume for the Online Job Search, will reveal proven strategies to be top-ranked in online human resource systems.

The “Get the Job” workshop will take place on Friday, January 31, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Studio One in Chatham. Seats are limited and registration is required. Please call 519-352-7540 or e-mail CKWorkforce@chatham-kent.ca for more information, or to register.

After this presentation, you will be able to:

  • Understand how online job systems work to filter and rank your resume
  • Revise your resume to gain a higher ranking in online HR systems, whether you are a newcomer, new grad, or experienced professional
  • Significantly increase the marketability of your skills in a competitive job market
