Chatham-Kent police officer faces disciplinary action after accident

s police 4A Chatham-Kent police officer is facing disciplinary action following a two-vehicle collision in Dresden on New Years Eve.

At about 7:40 a.m. the on-duty officer was responding to a priority call in Dresden, when he lost control of his vehicle and it slid through the intersection at Brown Street and Centre Street before it was struck on the driver’s side. The road was snow-covered and slippery according to police. There were no injuries and damage is estimated at $15,000.

The name of the officer was not released.
