$9000 worth of goods stolen during break-in on Selkirk Street

s police 8The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a break and enter in Chatham.

On January 12, police responded to a break and enter on Selkirk Street where someone entered the home and stole electronics and jewelry valued at $9000.

Police have identified the man responsible and about $3500 of stolen property was recovered.

Last night, police located him on Victoria Avenue and he was arrested. The 27-year-old Chatham man has been charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by a crime over $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
