A Brampton man has lost his driver’s licence for seven days and had his vehicle impounded for the same length of time after being stopped for going 175 km/h on the 401.
On Friday, December 13, a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting radar enforcement on the 401 near Communication Road.
At about 1 p.m., the officer observed an eastbound BMW vehicle that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/h. The radar registered a speed of 175 km/h.
