Man arrested for stealing surveillance cameras

s police 5The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Between October 15 and October 16, the man attended a laundromat on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg and removed three surveillance cameras valued at $150. Police located the man and he was charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was released pending a future court date.

On November 12, he failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday afternoon police located the man on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg and he was arrested on the warrant.

The 29-year-old Wallaceburg man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
