Home James in it’s second year

Home James is a volunteer organization that helps Chatham drivers get home safely during the holiday season.

The volunteers will drive you and your car home, if you have had too much to drink or you are otherwise unable to drive yourself home. Hours of operation are between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. On New Years Eve rides will be provided from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m.

The first week this year saw volunteers give 44 rides. 87 people were taken 2200 kilometers, according to co-ordinator Jodie Hogg.
