Last night, police conducted RIDE spot checks throughout Chatham-Kent.
In the Wallaceburg area, a total of 75 vehicles were checked with two drivers being issued a 3-day licence suspension.
In the Louisville area, about 35 vehicles were checked. No roadside tests were administered, however three drivers were found to driving while under suspension. Officers also issued tickets for failing to wear a seatbelt, driving with an expired validation tag and failing to surrender an insurance card.
With the holiday season quickly approaching, the Chatham-Kent Police Service are reminding all motorists that there will be an increase in RIDE spot checks.
