Two men arrested for public drunkeness

Around 7 p.m. last night, a 47-year-old Chatham man was found to be intoxicated in the area of King Street West and Fifth Street in Chatham. According to police he was unable to care for himself and was arrested for his own safety. He was transported to police headquarters and held in custody until sober.

Then shortly after 1 a.m. this morning, police responded to a disturbance on Main Street in Ridgetown. A 20-year-old Dashwood man was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He too was arrested for his own safety and transported to police headquarters. The man was held in custody until sober.
