Two separate accidents occurred on Richmond Street in Chatham yesterday afternoon.
The first happened at about 2:30 p.m. when police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Keil Drive near Richmond Street.
A 27-year-old Chatham woman was travelling northbound on Keil Drive when she was struck by a 57-year-old Chatham man travelling southbound. The woman turned left on Richmond Street even though the man had the right of way.
Neither driver was injured. Total damages were estimated at $14,000.
The woman was charged with making an unsafe turn.
Then just after 4:30 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Richmond Street near Bothwell Street.
An 18-year-old Chatham woman was travelling eastbound on Richmond Street when she rear-ended a vehicle being driven by a 72-year-old Charing Cross woman.
Neither driver was injured. Total damages were estimated at $5500.
The Chatham woman was charged with careless driving.
