Park Street fire victim dies

A 50-year-old Chatham woman who was in the September 12 fire on Park Street has died. Evelyn Peltier, 50, had been transferred to the Hamilton hospital with life threatening burn injuries. Peltier leaves behind her husband Randy and a sister in Chatham.

Two other people managed to escape the fire, which is still under investigation by the Ontario Fire Marshal, Emergency management and the Chatham-Kent police.

Peltier passed away on October 2.
