Man steals his father’s truck and threatens to burn his wife’s car: police

C-K Police 602A 43-year-old Raleigh Township man went on a rampage yesterday during a domestic disturbance.

He went to his parent’s home in Raleigh Township and drove their ATV across fields to where his dad was harvesting. He then stole his dad’s pick-up truck that was parked in the field with the keys in the ignition. The man drove the truck into Chatham looking for his wife, as they had been involved in an argument and she left the house. Shortly after 6 p.m. police located the man driving the stolen truck and he was arrested.

Police say they also learned that he had threatened to burn the woman’s car.

He has been charged with theft, possession of stolen property and uttering threats. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
