Man headbutts his girlfriend: police

policelogoA Blenheim man has a bail hearing today after allegations were made that he head-buitted his girlfriend on September 19.

The Chatham-Kent police say yesterday morning the woman called them asking for help in removing items from her boyfriend’s house.

Yesterday morning, a woman called police to ask for help as she moved her belongings out of her boyfriend’s house. While police stood by to keep the peace, the woman reported that on September 19 she had an argument with her boyfriend when it escalated into a physical altercation. It is alleged that the man head-butted the woman in the face, pulled her hair and pushed her into a door. She did not seek medical attention.

Policefound the man in Chatham yesterday afternoon and he was arrested. The 55-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with assault.
