A 35-year-old man, on a VIA train in Chatham, was arrested last night after acting strangely while possessing a knife.
At 9:12 p.m. the eastbound train arrived from Windsor and the Chatham-Kent police were waiting for it. The police had been alerted by VIA rail, about a half-hour before, that there was a disruptive man acting bizarre onboard. He was talking to himself and acting agitated while he swore at other passengers.
No-one was injured and he was arrested without incident. A search revealed a pocket knife in is possession.
The 35-year-old Windsor man has been charged with causing a disturbance and possession of a weapon. He has a bail hearing today.
