Chatham-Kent children can get a head start wearing their Halloween costumes this year.

On Saturday, October 26, the municipality of Chatham-Kent’s recreation programs is hosting the 6th annual CK Halloween Fest at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Children of all ages are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to enter the costume contest, and take part in activities such as pumpkin carving and decorating, face painting, and inflatable bouncers.

“The CK Halloween Fest is a fun event for families to dress up together,” says Raphael Robinson, program development coordinator for recreation programs. “It’s great to see children’s creativity in the costume designs.”

The Costume Contest begins at 1:30 p.m. on the main stage. The contest is divided into age groups, with prizes awarded to funniest costume, scariest costume, and best overall in each age group.

Admission for the CK Hallowe’en Fest is $10 for a family of five. Wristbands are required for entry and can be purchased at your local municipal centre.
