CK has spoken with its heart.

The Creating Smiles Network is smiling wider today after a successful donations drive. Three locations have collected donations today, leaving organizers pleased that a big difference can be made for the homeless.

Rachael Laidler was on Keil Drive outside of Bowlerama, waving down drivers along with a few volunteers. “People have stopped by to give cash in our cash box.”, said Laidler, “The response from the community has been great.”

Even more donated items were stored inside Bowlerama. Carrie Formosa Wellington, daytime manager at Bowlerama, said “We are happy to help. People have been dropping things off all day.” Bowlerama was one of three drop-off locations that include The Voice at 84 Dover Street and Comfort and Soul, Eats and Arts at 8619 Talbot Trail in Blenheim. Bruce Corcoran of The Voice told the CKReview that donations were still coming in and some donations were even expected tomorrow.
