Woman sends inappropriate texts and emails from ex-husband’s phone

Yesterday morning, police responded to a residence in Bothwell about a domestic incident. A 23-year-old man reported that his ex-wife entered his residence uninvited, stole his cell phone and began sending inappropriate text messages to people in his contact list. She also sent an e-mail to the man’s employer in an attempt to jeopardize his employment. He also alleged an incident where the woman assaulted him.

Around 1:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police located the woman and she was arrested. The 24-year-old Bothwell woman has been charged with assault, break and enter and two counts of criminal harassment.  She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
