Third teen charged in assault

A fight between teens in August has netted local police a third arrest. On August 23 several youths attended a gathering on Third Line in Raleigh Township when a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation. A 14-year-old Chatham youth was punched and knocked to the ground which required medical attention.

Earlier this month, a 16-year-old Chatham youth and 18-year-old Chatham man were arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm. They were both released with conditions and a future court date.

Yesterday, a 17-year-old Chatham youth was also arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.
