Four people charged with drug offences after CIRT team mobilized

Last night, members of the Chatham-Kent Police intelligence unit and critical incident response team executed a controlled drugs and substances act warrant at a residence on Tissiman Avenue in Chatham.

A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana and a prohibited weapon with a total street value of approximately $4000.

A 45-year-old Chatham man, 50-year-old Chatham woman and 48-year-old Chatham Township woman were all charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, production of marijuana and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Another 50-year-old Chatham woman was charged with obstruct police.

All four were released with conditions pending a future court date.
