A retired teacher who was facing 8 charges on sex crimes he committed on his male students, now faces an extra 20 charges.
Chatham-Kent police arrested the man on September 11 for historical sex offences that date back to the early 80′s.
Yesterday, the Chatham-Kent police arrested Lekavy again as a result of four new male victims coming forward. He is now facing additional charges of:
11 counts of gross indecency
three counts of sexual assault
three counts of indecent assault on a male
two counts of sexual exploitation
one count of uttering threats dating back between 1973 and 1991.
He was released with conditions pending a future court date of October 25.
Lekavy was employed as an elementary school teacher for 39 years and taught at Tilbury Area Public School, Romney Central Public School and Wheatley Public School.
