Police have arrested a man for multiple frauds involving several victims within our municipality.
He posed as a business person asking for money from the victims, as an advanced payment or deposit for work that was promised to be done around their residence. He failed to complete the work he agreed to do. The fraudulent acts occurred between 2011 through to 2013.
Angelo Novelli, 38, of Taylor Trail in Chatham, has been charged with two counts of fraud over $5000 and ten counts of fraud under $5000. He has been released pending a future court date of September 10, 2013.
