Man arrested after found riding stolen bike

Police have arrested a Blenheim man after police found the bicycle he was riding was stolen.

On Saturday July 20th at approximately 3:30 p.m., a Chatham-Kent police officer saw two people riding bicycles in violation of a Chatham-Kent By-Law.

The officer found that one of the bicycles stolen.

The 29-year-old Blenheim man was place under arrest for the stolen bike.

During the arrest, controlled drugs were found on the man.

The man has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property under $5000, contrary to the Criminal Code, and two counts of possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.

Hhe was held in custody to appear before a Justice of the Peace.
