The Second Battle of the Thames at the Kiwanis

By Mary Ellen Herder

Richard lives the quiet life with his mother in the little town of Thamesville. Together they run a picturesque bed and breakfast.

With the War Of 1812 anniversary coming up, the two prepare for the arrival of U.S tourists. Instead, they get an invasion. Dolly McCoy, America’s self-appointed ambassador, books a room in the B&B and brings the military re-enactment regiment from Kentucky with her. A force to be reckoned with, Dolly shoots from the lip and never bothers to ask questions later. All’s fair in love and war as Dolly and Richard carry on a passionate and patriotic battle of wills.
