Historical assaults land man in jail

A 26-year-old Chatham man remains in custody charged with two counts of forcible confinement, two counts of uttering threats, three counts of assault, choking and mischief.

The incidents are historical and an investigation was started after a complaint was received from an 18-year-old Chatham woman.

The man was held for bail.
