Dresden man charged after drunken rants on roadway

C-K Police 401A 45-year-old Dresden man was charged after an incident reported in Dresden.

According to police, at 7:25 p.m. on Monday the man began causing a disturbance in the downtown area of Dresden. Numerous people were approached and intimidated by the accused as he staggered around the downtown area yelling aggressively at vehicles and pedestrians as they passed by.

He was located on Center Street in Dresden by the CKPS. Police say he was intoxicated and staggering down the middle of the roadway. He was arrested and taken to the CKPS headquarters in Chatham. He was kept in custody until sober.

While being searched the suspect was found in possession of what is believed to be marijuana.
