The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a Chatham youth in connection with an obstruct police investigation.
On November 16, 2012, the youth was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions was to abide by a curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.
On February 3, 2013, the youth left his residence and failed to return home before 10 p.m. At 11:45 p.m. last night, police went to a residence on Wellington Street East in Chatham in regards to a call about unwanted people inside the apartment. Police located the youth who falsely identified himself. Police confirmed the youth’s identity and he was arrested.
The 14-year-old youth has been charged with obstruct police and four counts of failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
