Who cares? A free film at the Kinwanis on April 26

The Thames Art Gallery, in partnership with the Chatham-Kent Public Library, presents Last Friday Features. Come to The Cultural Centre (Kiwanis Theatre) and screen a National Film Board video for free. The last Friday of each month will feature a different NFB film.

On Friday, April 26 @ 6:30 p.m. there will be a screening of “Who Cares?” (2012) by director Rosie Dransfeld. The film runs 80 minutes and will begin with a 10 minute short film entitled “Paula”.

Director Rosie Dransfeld enters the gritty and dangerous world of Edmonton’s sex-trade workers. Courtney struggles to stay clean; Shelly takes care of everyone but herself when she’s not on crystal meth; and Nancy explains her bruises away as accidents. A powerful film about women caught in a cycle of addiction, violence and prostitution.

The Thames Art Gallery and Kiwanis Theatre are at 75 William Street North in Chatham.
