Traffic held up on 401 by crash

The flow of traffic was interrupted late this morning by an accident on highway 401 near Orford Road.

The extent of injuries is unknown, following a crash in the east bound lanes of the 401 near Orford Road Friday morning.

Chatham-Kent firefighters from Station 10 in Highgate responded to the collision with people being reported trapped in their cars. Fire crews had to extricate the occupants from their vehicles.

Chatham-Kent O.P.P. are currently investigating the accident.
