Chatham-Kent police have charged a man after a break and enter in Wallaceburg yesterday morning.
Around 8 a.m. police responded to a home on Jeanne Street for a break and enter. The home owner told officers that she was woken up by her dog, which was barking. The homeowner then found a man rummaging through the woman’s china cabinet, and was wearing clothes that belonged the woman’s son.
Police believe the male intruder entered the home via an unlocked door.
A 21-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested and has been charged with break and enter. He is being held in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.
