R.I.D.E. campaign starts tonight

Wednesday November 21 2012

Local police have announced the start of this years R.I.D.E. campaign.

Police will begin their seasonal R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) campaign on Wednesday, November 21st, 2012.

This evenings R.I.D.E will be held in conjunction with Canada’s National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims. In addition to observing the National Day of Remembrance, the Chatham-Kent Police Service will be remembering local victims that have been killed or injured as a result of impaired driving. With the holiday season upon us, members of the Chatham-Kent police will be working hard to get the message out to the public that drinking and driving is unacceptable. 100% of impaired driving tragedies are preventable and police are calling upon our citizens to keep the victims of this crime in mind while celebrating the festive season. Police will run their seasonal R.I.D.E campaign from November 21st to January 2nd.
